Drones for Event and Crowd Security
Overwatch, tethered drones and drone detection at festivals, stadiums and large public events.
Overwatch
A drone above an event gives security control a live view of crowd density, entry queues, vehicle movements and incidents, helping teams send staff to the right place quickly.
Tethered drones
Tethered drones receive power through a cable, so they can stay up for hours. They are popular for events because they stay in a fixed area and some rules are easier to meet, but you still need the right FAA approvals, especially for flights over people.
Temporary flight restrictions
Large stadium events and VIP visits often have temporary flight restrictions. Your provider must check NOTAMs and coordinate with organisers and authorities.
Detecting rogue drones
Many venues now add drone detection to spot unauthorised drones over the crowd. Remember that private operators can detect and report, but not take down, a drone.
